Look for possible rotors (gusting) if wind is coming from over Sugarloaf Hill in Southeast wind. Good trade winds during summer with 15-25 knots. During winter frontal winds. Wind usually blows from N, NE, E and SE on the spot. The best moments to come to Providenciales / Turtle Tail, Turks and Caicos Islands are January, May, June, July and December .

Recommended tide for kitesurfing is High Tide . Providenciales / Turtle Tail, Turks and Caicos Islands is a Shallow, Flat, Chop and Medium waves spot. The launching/landing area is reported to be of Small size. Small sandy beach. Shallow bay with nice flat water. Can be too shallow at low tide at beach. Best to walk out into Bay for deeper water. Further out are rolling waves and 3 rocky islands in only 4ft. water depth. If kiting out of the bay, be aware there are few beaches downwind along this mostly rocky shoreline. Keep upwind for safety if you are less experienced.
